Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor Drives Fed from Multilevel Inverter: a Review

چکیده

– Direct Torque Control using Multilevel Inverter (DTC-MLI) strategy has attracted a great deal of interest in recent years, in the field of high power induction machines or permanent magnet machines drives applications for high dynamic response. This proposal combines the advantages of the multilevel inverter with direct torque controlled based schemes. Numerous efforts have been accomplished for the improvement of classical DTC scheme mainly concentrating on power electronics, DTC controllers, flux and torque observers. Many new techniques have been successfully developed and applied not only for induction motors but also permanent magnet synchronous motors. This paper presents a survey on various topologies and control strategies used for DTC of multilevel inverter-fed induction motor. Several techniques and concepts are: switchingtable (Look-up table) based hysteresis DTC-MLI, DTC-MLI with space vector modulation, predictive control strategy of DTC-MLI and DTC-MLI with fuzzy logic controller.
